How it is

There are those up North wondering how the Coronavirus is affecting us in South Texas. As of this writing, there are no known instances in the Rio Grande Valley. Precautions are being taken by some entities. The local hospitals are limiting visiting hours to noon to 6 PM, limiting visitors to two per day and screening all people who come through the lobby, asking them a series of questions. That procedure has been taking about an hour to get into see anyone. Some people do not believe the warnings are necessary. "What if you are wrong?" Also, none of these precautions are going to hurt. In fact, it would not hurt any of us to make them a permanent part of our daily life.

The basic protective measures against coronavirus include:
1. HANDS Wash them often
2. ELBOW Cough into it
3. FACE Don't touch it
4. FEET Stay more than 3ft apart
5. FEEL sick? Stay home
