Bits & Pieces Tuesday 3-24-2020

As of today there are 377 people in the park, on 211 sites and 61 pets too!!

A note from Chris Lang: I just wanted to say how wonderful of a time I had here as I was recuperating from shoulder surgery. I met the most wonderful and friendliest people, and I will remember a lot of great moments from my time here.

When I return to Oklahoma, I plan to look for work and start a job very soon. However, I will do whatever it takes to come back here frequently during my vacation times.  You've also got an additional Winter Texan in me living at Trophy Gardens after I retire!

Thanks to all who I met for making my time special and I wish you all the best! Chris Lang

You have been a pleasure to get to know while you were recuperating from your surgery. I know some are going to miss you at Trivia and others at shuffleboard. Wishing you well as you look for a new job. Betsie

Dan and Linda Lang: Effective 7:00 AM Monday, March 23, 2020, the Shuffleboard Courts are closed to all individuals. This is the policy of the Wilder Corporation. Thanks to all who participated, your support made this one of the best seasons we have ever had.  See you in a few months, and remember the Shuffleboard season starts on the 1st of November. Have a Great Summer and stay healthy. Dan and Linda Lang

There was a Park Meeting today that was live-streamed. I wanted to tell some of what Stephanie, Karen Green, Lynn, JD, & Pastor Darrel had to say.

Karen thanked all the volunteers in the kitchen and those who have helped her this season. She reported that the first Elegant Dinner will be in December. The theme for the Dinner /Dance will be in February and the theme for will be The Sr. Prom.

Lynn announced the Volunteer of March is Lynda Francis!! She will get her certificate and get her picture taken to be posted on the North wall. Congratulations Lynda. Mail will continue coming. If you get a package, look on the list by the office door. A note from the 1st responders.. please wear your badge when out in the park. The 1st responders don't know all of the people in the park and it would be a big help to them. Also, write your lot number on the back of your badge.

JD asked those in the park to please abide by the rules. Do not use the buildings, golf course, or the shuffleboard courts. Let the business office know that if you have something that has to be repaired and you have to call someone for repairs and let the welcome center know who is coming to do the repairs.

Stephanie has a challenge for the Trophy Gardens family while they are home this summer. There has been quite a following of the crazy socks that JD and Sheldon, aka Jason, wear at the hall meetings. It is a “Silly Summer Sock Challenge” The rules are no sports socks and no kinky or untasteful socks. Buy socks for both guys and bring them back in the fall when you return for the next season.

The pastor said a prayer for all and those returning home. Amen!!

That is all for tonight!!

Betsie Brown
