***Found on the street a patio cushion, brown with black pattern. Can be picked up at lot 585.
***Entertainment Sunday evening is Dave & Daphne!! The show starts at 7:00 pm with the doors opening at 6:00. The concession stand will be open too.
***Monday will be the Memorial in the Pool Hall for those that have passed since last year. Beginning the hanging of the badges is at 3:00 pm.
***Marsha Schmidt, head of the 1st Responders in Trophy, told us that Trophy is one of a few parks that have 1st responders anymore. She said they had 14 calls during the summer and have had 38 calls this season. If you need help she said to call the 1st responders 1st and then call 911 and tell them, Alamo. The 1st responders will send someone to the gate to wait for an ambulance and lead them to where they need to go. It is important that you call the 1st responders first because 911 will keep you on the phone for a while.
Monday, February 14th the weather was a little bit brisk but 27 participants showed up to play Hoss Collar. Karl Pettersen won 1st Place with 703 points, Les McKinney came in 2nd Place with 652 points, and a new player, Harold Lamb came in 3rd Place with 612 points. Bring a one-dollar bill (no coins please) and be ready to have a very pleasant evening. We start at 6:30PM and three games are played each evening with a random draw held prior to each game. Hoss Collar is so easy to learn and you will be playing like a pro in no time.
Wednesday, February 16th the wind was blowing horribly but we had 36 participants who were ready to play. The moon was full and it was a beautiful night and we ignored the wind. Chuck Hull came in 1st Place with 696 points; Ron Puls won 2nd Place with 649 points and Les McKinney came in 3rd Place with 641 points. We play each Monday and Wednesday evenings at 6:30PM and Monday’s weather forecast is 84 degrees with a little bit of a breeze so come on and play and get some light exercise.
We play regular shuffleboard on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings at 9:00AM. Regular shuffleboard is more about strategy than Hoss Collar and it is more directly competitive than Hoss Collar, but don’t be scared, it is only a game and lots of fun. Bring $.30 cents and play three games and all team members and opponents are chosen by random draw. Come and get your exercise and lots of Vitamin D while also meeting new friends. You will be glad you did.
Take Care!!
