What happened to February? It seemed to fly by.

***Lynn reported at the Park Meeting there are 521 people on 288 sites with 84 pets. *** She repeated the age of our park from yesterday's Anniversary Party. Trophy is 37 1/2 years old from October 1984.

***Thursday is the Arts & Craft Exhibit. 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The Busy Bees will be selling Walking Tacos from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.

***The Alamo Parade is Saturday. If you aren't in the parade come and watch the parade and support our line dancers, bike riders, and the decorated golf carts.

***Monday, February 21st, Hoss Collar results are as follows: Dan Lang won 1st Place with 706 points making him a member of the 700 Club. Gary DeRosier won 2nd Place with 687 points and Karl Pettersen won 3rd Place with 678 points. There were 19 participants playing that night and of those 19 players there were eight that made 600 points or higher.  Teams and courts are chosen by random draw, so we have some pretty good players. Bob Davis with 651 points, Richard Zimmerman also with 651 points, Kathy Ringler with 611 points, and Betty Lee with 600 points. Hoss Collar is so easy to learn, it just takes seconds. Monday and Wednesday nights at 6:30PM., bring a one-dollar bill (no change Please) and meet new friends, get a little exercise and you will be glad you did. Regular shuffleboard is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings at 9:00AM, bring $.30 cents and play three games.  Partners and courts are chosen by random draw, come and play, easy to learn, and get some Vitamin D.  If it is 50 degrees or close to it by 9:00AM, no gale force winds and no rain we will play. The weather has been pretty rough lately but it is going to get better soon. SEE YOU!

***Oh,  I am late on getting Sunday's Mixed Doubles pool results sent...   It just must be the cool weather that we had but for some reason when I got home from playing in the mixed doubles I set the score sheets and basket on a chair on my deck..  Something like two hours later I noticed them sitting on my deck- wonder what happened????   Guess I was just wanting to get inside and be in my warm park model...

We had ten teams playing and played nine games...  One team won six of the games played and that was team Barb Utech & Greg Dowhaniuk ......   There were four teams that won five games and they were teams Bev McEnaney & Jake Jacobson,   Barb Jacobson & Don Wolf,   Sally Kelleher & Willie P. and team Arja Tito & Kinley Paulsen...

Come join in on the fun...  Sign up sheet is up for next Sunday.

On Monday we had a wonderful memorial service and unveiling of the badges of the pool hall members that left us during the past two years... Thanks to everyone that attended...

Don't forget the pool hall banquet is coming up on March 9th.  Social Hour starts at 4:00 and dinner at 5:00..  Everyone is welcome...  Tickets are available at our activity office...      Pool Hall Babe Bev McEnaney
