Bits & Pieces

Neil Murphy's mother, Annabelle, is not doing well. We received a gloomy prognosis on Saturday, January 23rd. Pat, Neil's brother, who lives in the same town as his mother, is phoning all the family. We are requesting a prayer for Neil and his family going through a hard time.
Thank you for your kindness. ~ Neil & Eva Murphy
Someone asked what has been going on with me that I'm not in Texas yet? I, Betsie Brown, will be heading to Trophy on February 4th. I have been cleared by my Doctor. I had a lot of side effects from an infusion for Osteoporosis. It messed up my medicines and sent me to the hospital with Kidney failure and dehydration. My advice to everyone is to drink lots of water at least 3 bottles of water. The Doctor in the emergency room said “Kidneys like to be wet” All is well now so--Texas here I came!!
The weather was very uncooperative this week and the scheduled shuffleboard events just didn’t happen after Monday morning. So we played Hoss Collar Saturday night, January 23rd and we made up for it in fun and good cheer. A big congratulations goes to Kathy Ringler who came in 1st Place with 598 points; 2nd Place went to Linda Lang with 571 points and 3rd Place goes to Larry Clintsman with 564 points. Come and join the fun, wear your masks and practice social distancing. We sanitize the sticks, benches, and pencils. The fun happens Wednesdays and Saturdays at 6:15pm., bring a one-dollar bill and make new friends. Only the bottom three players do not get their dollar back. We also play regular shuffleboard on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 9:00Am, bring $.30 and play three games and get your dose of vitamin C. You win and you get your dime(s) back.
Stay Safe and Stay Healthy
Betsie Brown
