Bits & Pieces

The family of Jerry McEnaney wishes to thank everyone for their kindness. We so appreciated the cards, letters, memorials, kind words, and prayers. Thanks from the bottom of our hearts.
I have called Trophy friends that live near me to see how they came out in the Derecho Storm we had last week. Jan & Lloyd Hofmaster live by a park full of trees and some of them ended up in their back yard. They had family there to help them clean up.
I just talked to Bob and Kay Lind. They are now on day 10 without electricity. They are okay after the storm and probably lost the trees in their front yard. They have moved to the SouthEast side of Cedar Rapids and they will be one of the areas that are last on. Kay has a new phone number 319-826-0299. I had misplaced their new address so I asked it for it again. 140 35th St. SE unite 4, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52403
Talked to Reed and Wanda Weinberg and they are both okay. They have been out and about looking at some of the damage.
I'm so glad everyone is safe and healthy.
Lynn reported, Tuesday, that there will be a redo of the men's bathroom. —not that we will all get to see it! If it is anything like the ladies' bathroom redo it will be great. In Lynn's report to us that there are 87 people on 54 sites and 18 pets. Don't forget to contact the office about a keycard or fob for the front gate. trophygardens@rvresorts.com

The eastern part of Iowa was hit harder than we were but this Derecho thing did a number throughout the whole state. We noticed yesterday that the Perry Iowa area was hit harder than we were and it is only 30 miles away. We are in Jefferson Iowa and my blog entry is posted below with pictures of our personal damage. Our RV is currently waiting for repair but we do plan to be in Trophy this fall if "The Good Lord is willing and the creek don't rise". Oh yes, we are also in a severe drought!
