That is lots of twos in today's date!!

WHAT:       MIXED DOUBLES POOL HALL GET TOGETHER

WHEN:      Thursday,  February 25, 2021-  3:00 PM

WHERE;    FAST EDDIE'S POOL ROOM & GRILL, 815 NORTH CLOSNER BLVD, EDINBURG

The best route is Alamo Rd. north turn left on Richardson Rd to Closner (11 miles 22 mins)

 They have all types of games other than pool -    Food & Beverages too...

Finally, we were able to escape to the outside and have some real fun after so many days of gloom & doom. Hoss Collar results for Saturday, February 20th are as follows: Stan Ringler and Linda Lang shared 1st Place with each having 640 points. (They only played game 3 together). Lance Pearson got 2nd Place with 639 points, and Brent McKee received 3rd Place with 629 points. Come and join us on Wednesday and Saturday nights at 6:30PM for Hoss Collar. Bring a one-dollar BILL and most likely you will get your dollar back. We play regular shuffleboard on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings at 9:00AM, come and get your vitamin D, bring $.30 and play three very exciting games. Easy to learn!  We sanitize, practice social distancing and we wear our masks. See You!

 Another fun day at the pool hall...   Today there were eight teams and each team played seven games of pool...   There was one team that won all seven games and they are Renie Stinson & Butch Brooker.    The team that took second place winning six games was team Lola Wulf & Alex Stinson...  The team taking third place was team Barb Brooker and Jerry Thibodeau...  The rest of us didn't do so good and I don't think I should mention our scores ---but the positive about this is the great friendships that we all won and the good time had by all...  

Looks like the sports is getting back on schedule!! Have fun everyone...

Reunion News: Great news for RV’s wanting to camp for the reunion. Cenla’s Park Manager is in AZ and gave me her personal cell phone number. She will take your reservation. She will need the length of your RV and the dates you are planning to stay. Mention Trophy Gardens since she will try and keep all of you together unless a unit is too longer Vicky is the manager. 480-271-3588.

The last night of Hoss Collar, Wednesday, February 10th, before the COLD moved in, it was a beautiful evening.  Les McKinney had lots of competition but he prevailed with 667 points to take 1st Place. Linda Lang took 2nd with 644 points and Dale Hustad was close behind with 639 points.  We hope to play Wednesday, February 17th, IF the weather gets warmer.  We will just have to wait and see. Bring a dollar to play; we sanitize, wear our masks, and social distance.  Be there by 6:15 PM.  We play regular shuffleboard on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays at 9:00 AM, it is easy to learn too.  Bring $.30 and be ready to have a good time and hopefully the sun will be out and you can get your dose of Vitamin D.  It is unknown if we will get to play morning shuffle next week due to the cold overnight temperatures.  Remember, if you want to play at any time, you can, the courts are always open to anyone wanting to play, just be sure to wax the discs.    

 It was a great way to spend a cold - rainy  36 degree Valentine's day by playing pool inside the nice warm pool hall.  This time it was decided, being that it was Valentine's day that we would not draw for pool partners but would have the partner that we signed up with...  It went pretty good with the husbands and wives being partners and we all had a great time...

There were 8 teams and playing seven games each.    Teams winning five of their games were Robin & Ed Hains and team Sally & Paul Kelleher...  There were three teams winning four of their games played - they were Barb & Butch Brooker, Teri & Jerry Thibodeau, and Rosemary & Tom Scott.  It was a fun time.        Sign up sheet is up for next Sunday, February 21st.  The start time is at 1:00...

Tomorrow is Yvonne Morrison's 90th Birthday!!! She is a long time resident at Trophy Gardens. When you see her tell her Happy Birthday or give her a call and maybe you can send her a card. Her address is 800 S H 495, lot # 521, Alamo TX 78516.

Saturday night, February 6th, was another gorgeous night for Hoss Collar. We had several first-time players and they got their dollars back. Everyone was ready to play as our quarantine was lifted and we had missed two Hoss Collar nights. Janet Yeley came in 1st Place with 619 points, 2nd Place was Rick Dewey with 585 points and Wayne Bach took 3rd Place with 580 points.  Sadly, the only prize for 3rd Place is a tallboy J We play Hoss Collar on Wednesday and Saturday nights starting at 6:30PM, and we play regular shuffleboard Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings at 9:00AM. Come and get your Vitamin C with the morning sun and have a great time.

Yea, the pool hall is back in business..   This Sunday - February 7th. there were 8 teams that showed up to play in the mixed doubles... Each team played seven games.     One team won six out of the seven games played and they are team, Teri Thibodeau & Paul Kelleher.  There were three teams that won five games out of the seven played and they are teams -- Janet Yeley & Alex Stinson, Bev McEnaney & Dave Page, and team Sally Kelleher & Butch Brooker.    The sign-up sheet is up for next Sunday - Valentine's day - February 14th. Come have a fun time. The start time is 1:00.   

If you think you are cold in Texas, you should be in Iowa. It gets down to -14* wind chill in the evening. And snow....enough for me to know just why I go to Texas in the winter.

Stephanie reported: There will not be any locker rents for this season as many aren't here. Remember if you want to have a Secret Valentine delivered for you see Stephanie and give her a $2.00 delivery fee!!
