Summer Fun at the Gardens

Hi Everyone:

We are in the middle of the summer!  The weather is awesome.  Sun everyday and the temps are in the 90's.  The wind blows to help the heat.

Everyone is doing great.  We are continuing to get the resort ready for our family and friends return in the fall.

The flower gardens are growing, growing, growing, Gail is here for acouple of weeks so she is cutting them back.  We will be putting in another garden in the front for the butterflies this fall.  I can't wait for Gwen to get here so we can get started.

Summer Activities:

Mondays:      Mahjong, pinochle, and Dominos
Tuesdays:      Our meeting, pitch, bridge
Wednesdays: Penny bingo, Out to eat at an area restraunt
Thursdays:     Dominos
Fridays:          Mahjong, Happy Hour, card bingo
Saturdays:      Euchre, Dance
Sundays:        500. Bridge

Manager's Notes:

Happy Hour will start this Friday, April 15, 4 pm.

Card bingo will be in a couple of weeks.

Our weekly meetings are now at 9:00 am on Tuesdays.  Free donuts.

We are having a spaghetti Dinner on May 4th.  Tickets must  be bought by May 2nd, 4pm.  Purchase price is $5.00 per person.  It includes spaghetti, salad, garlic bread and a dessert.

The gardens are beautiful.  The roses are blooming, the butterfly garden is in full bloom, and the native garden is doing well.

Gwen Newman is working on certifying the butterfly garden.  What an awesome feat for Trophy Gardens. We are looking into putting up a bird blind for the birds.  It will take next season to get it started.
